Travelling in SpainHey people, I'm here again! *waves*
Oh. I know there's like tons of updates for me to backtrack.
Please bear with me..
I'll try to update more often after hubby starts work next week. =)
Barcelona [ 24 June 2010 - 27 June 2010]I don't know how you guys imagine about this place. But in my expectation, it sounds to me like a place which is romantical and relaxing. Going to Spain wasn't my idea as I know it's not a season for bull-fighting. But well, I wasn't the main planner.
So Barecelona became our first stop to kick off the start of our honeymoon. Without his friends but only the two of us. =D

My greatest companion in trains and planes.
We took a budget airline, RyanAir, to Barcelona. And the flight was freaking delayed for 4 hours without informing us beforehand. So hubby and I were stucked in Manchester Airport for hours, with limited entertainment.
Damn, this so gonna be our last time booking with RyanAir. They always have this flight delayed problem. So when we supposed to arrive at Barcelona at 2pm, we landed at 6.30pm instead. (-_-")

Hopped the city bus from the aiport to the central. According to the map, the apartment we book is just 10 mins walking distance away from the bus station.
But the most hilarious thing that happened was, when we finally found the location, it was a funeral casket that appeared in front of us which freaked both of us!!!
So we went to a wreath shop opposite the casket and showed the lady boss the apartment's address. Thank god, it was located behind the building of funeral casket. *PHEW~
We walked according to the direction she gave us, and saw rows of apartments which look like the school of Laselle in Singapore. It was actually hostels for students who studying there. Since it's summer holiday and most of the students had went back home, they rent out small rooms for tourists like us. Cool.

Finally reached our destination after a terrible fright. LOLs!!

Super small but very cosy room. I like.
Much better than hubby's spacious but old furniture hostel. HAhahaha!
Since it's already so late, we decided to just turn in early for the night and start our touring the next day instead. So we showered and walked to a pub restuarant nearby for our dinner.

The authentic European style of pub, I like.

Awaiting for food to arrive.

This is what I ordered.
Olive chicken something lah.
Look very plain, but taste nice actually.
At least it was better than the burger I took which serve me raw chicken meat. EeeWW!! That gonna be my first time eating raw chicken burger and it gonna be my last as well.
The next morning, woke up early for our tour around Barcelona!

Pardon my stupid face. I just want to share with you guys that the vender machine below our room sell super nice and cheap orange juices and sandwiches. They top up fresh ones every morning somemore! *Slurps!
The first stop was to visit the famous Sagrada Familia Church.
It was amazing how the church can be constructed for over 100 years and still constructing.
Every little details of the artitech is so well emphasised.
Gaudi must be a perfectionist, to think of such sophiscated design. Hahahaha!

In the park admiring the creation of Gaudi's.
Well, my purpose of visiting Barcelona is granted.
Perhaps till the my death on the sick bed, this church have not finish the final construction.

Then we walked to the sea port, where i feel the sunshine Barcelona.
A kind of view which I din expect to see.
It was freaking hot. 34 degrees that afternoon but I still enjoy the seabreeze, enjoy watching bikini babes and ladies going nude for suntan. LOLs!!
Ok well, I just simply enjoy the carefree lifestyle which I deserve to get.
No stress, no hard feeling about work and studies, jus simply enjoying every bits of life in the life of Barcelona.
Like the people there, slow down my pace and reflect of everything I did and the things I'm gonna do.

Somewhere near the sea port, we found a place which serve super nice authentic spain cuisine! Will show you guys more about it below..
Day 2 in Barcelona:
We visited the place which display Gaudi's artitechture as well.

The must visit Gaudi's Lizard.
It was located at on top of the hill where you can overview the whole Barcelona.
Going through the back alleys and climbing multiple stairs and slope, we managed to find the place on our own in the early morning before the other travel agency did. LOLs!!

And we walked passed a bakery shop, their pasteries aroma overwhelmed my excitement to try out different kinds of pasteries that hardly find in Singapore.
I'm a very pasteries person and I love them!
Since the time when I started to work in bakery during secondary school days, I've always been wanting to own a bakery shop that sell cheap and nice pasteries and coffee. Up to date, this dream of mine is still growing on strong.
And hubby knew me very well that I'll never missed any chance of trying out their yummylicious breads whenever I go! So, he kindly fulfilled my wish of having all sorts of creamy puffs, chocolates sticks and croissants. HEAVENLY!

And oh well, as usual, being with a girlfriend who is highly metabolic can never make you say no to any good food to try. 3 euros for a long Chicken Frankfurter Sausage. Top up with mayonnise and mustards, solve the problem for my lunch! =)
Then, we realised we finished touring the must visit place of Barcelona in Day 2. So we decided to head home early for a short rest before we proceed back to Sagrada Familia Church for night shot with our tripod.

Check out the roof-top pool on top of our apartment.

This so shiok for students who studying here lah.
If I'm one of them, I confirm get As for all my exams!!!

The sun is so cruel to me. This was taken on Day 1 of our Spain trip when I wore singlet touring around. So bad for my skin and I just got 2 tones darker in just one day. =(

Before we head home, decided to buy some snacks during the worldcup.
And we can't believe how cheap the beer is.
SGD 80cents for a can of Estella!!!!!
For that instance, my alcoholic babylove became hyperhigh. Duhz.
Last Day.
Decided to take a tram back to the sea port for our favourite spanish signature dish.

Seafood Paella for FOUR.
Yes. It's so delicious that two person's portion is just not enough for us.
The first time I tried paella was at Marche in Singapore. At first I thought I was just trying some fried rice as the rice was quite hard. Until when I tried it in serveral restaurants in Spain, then I realised, the rice is supposed to be wet! And the taste is just as strong as like..erm.. curry? *Hahaha!
I do not know how to describe lah.. Just that the gravy that they used for the rice is just so nice. Moreover with the mussels and prawns, the whole dish taste so natural salty. Yums!

AwwWwww.. I'm missing it so badly~
Then, we took a flight and
fly over to IBIZA~[27 June to 29 June]The famous beach party in Spain!

Checked in the most spacious resort throughout my stay!
Though there's no view in front of my balcony, I'm happy with the big balcony which allowed us to watch stars in the night! =)
Day 2:

My way of not being sun-burned, again.
Look like a total idiot! LOLs!!

The beach next to our hotel.

At Ibiza, we din managed to get to club. Cos the worldcup fever is stronger than those who wanna go party. *BOO!! There's nothing much we can do, except lazing around on beach and enjoying the seabreeze.
Once in a while, drop-by the beach for holiday wasn't a bad choice afterall.
Next,
zoom off to Madrid after 3 days!
[29 June to 1 July]Finally a place for me to go shopping after so many days of sight-seeing and beach lazing! And I really shopped till I dropped too. BAH!!

In a shop which sells nice artillery stuffs, all boys fancied those.

And all boys fancied soccer as well~
See, I'm such a nice girlfriend to accompany my boyish boyfriend to these places.
*HOHOHO~

Back to the hotel room and was shock to see how dirty my little feet is!

Now you know what do we mean by Singapore is a clean and green country?
I'm more convinced of that now after going to so many places.

My babylove was complaining.
Ok, though I'm being nice to accompany him to stadium that he always been wanting to go, he got to compromise by bringing me to places I wanna go to.

And being my "helper" to carry those shopping bags is not something he's happy to do.

Not to mention that he got to pack everything to the limited space we had in our little luggage. OooPppss~

And, he shall never complaint how delightful it is to see his girl full of smiles~ *grins.
